II. Exhibition Overview
InterAutoMechanica is a leading specialized exhibition for automotive components and after-sales services in Russia and Eastern Europe. The event showcases the latest products and technologies across sectors such as auto parts, repair equipment, automotive chemicals, and paints and coatings, and enjoys official support from the Russian Automobile Manufacturers Association. It provides domestic and international companies with an effective platform to enhance their market competitiveness and expand their business networks.
The exhibition is dedicated to advancing the Russian automotive components industry, helping new entrants expand into the market, and enabling established companies to strengthen their market position and forge new business partnerships. During the event, numerous specialized forums will be held to delve into key topics such as industry prospects, regional supplier support policies, and cluster‑based collaboration.
The 2026 edition of the trade fair will be organized by SIGMA, a newly established organizer formerly known as Messe München. The group has strengthened its Mechanica segment, bringing together manufacturers and distributors of automotive components, accessories, equipment, and vehicle maintenance products.
The exhibition adopts a unique joint‑exhibition model, co‑hosted with the “Russian Commercial Vehicle Show (ComAutoTrans)” and the “Russian Bus Show (AutoBusExpo),” and is committed to becoming the largest commercial trade fair in Russia’s automotive and auto‑parts sector.
Automotive parts:
China’s supply of automotive parts to Russia has also increased, reaching US$179.2 million (+11%). With the European market now out of the picture, Chinese auto components have largely filled the gap in body‑part shortages in the Russian market, accounting for 45% of this segment. Demand for Chinese automotive body parts remains strong in Russia. When purchasing new parts, 58% of consumers opt for products from China.
Tire and wheel hub:
According to RIA Novosti, as of the end of June 2023, China’s tire exports to Russia rose to US$156.3 million, up 15% year on year. Russia’s largest tire suppliers include China, Belarus, Japan, Thailand, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, India, Turkey, Vietnam, the United States, and Spain. In value terms, these countries collectively accounted for 91.0% of Russia’s total tire imports. Meanwhile, China remained the leading source of all imported tires, representing 51.6% of the total by the end of 2022.
New complete vehicle:
In the first half of 2023, China’s exports of passenger vehicles to Russia reached US$4.6 billion, 6.4 times the level of the same period last year. According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, in June this year, China’s auto exports to Russia totaled US$1.03 billion, the highest monthly figure since the beginning of the year. Customs statistics show that from January to June, China exported 325,800 passenger vehicles to Russia—five times the volume recorded during the same period in 2022. Meanwhile, automotive market analyst Autostat reports that in June, Chinese brands accounted for nearly 76% of Russia’s new‑car imports.
Used complete vehicles:
According to data from Autostat and the electronic vehicle registration system, Russia imported 178,500 used cars between January and May 2023—three times the figure for the same period in 2022. In July this year, sales of used cars and SUVs in China totaled 7,613 units, up 62% from last year’s 4,703. Meanwhile, Automarketer reports that the overall market for used cars and SUVs reached 153,236 vehicles in July, a 37% year-on-year increase.
New energy vehicles:
According to RIA Novosti, in April 2023, China’s exports to Russia increased by 153% year on year, with new-energy vehicles accounting for 31% of passenger-car exports. This indicates that Chinese automobiles not only retain their traditional competitive edge in the Russian market but also enjoy a first-mover advantage in the areas of new energy and intelligent technologies.
