1. The 15th-largest economy in the world and a highly export-oriented industrial powerhouse in North America, it has attracted numerous investors in recent years.

2. The country ranks fifth globally in the FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) Confidence Index and attracted US$2.7 billion in investment in 2016, with over 45% of these funds allocated to smart manufacturing projects.
