UAE agrees to grant visa-free entry to Chinese citizens
03-15
016 Year 11 Month 1 On the evening of Day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE informed the Chinese Embassy in the UAE as follows:
“ From 2016 Year 11 Month 1 Day onwards, citizens of the People's Republic of China entering the UAE with ordinary passports do not need to apply for a visa in advance and will not be charged any fees upon entry. The stay period is 30 days. Visa holders can pay to extend their stay once according to the relevant regulations of the UAE, for another 30 days. ”
In the initial stages of this agreement, some border control officers may be unfamiliar with it. If you are asked to show your visa when entering, leaving, or transiting through the UAE, please patiently explain to the officer on duty that you are entitled to visa-free treatment according to the UAE government regulations, and ask them to verify with their superiors!
