On the afternoon of December 28, the "Import Quality Products to Shandong" event, hosted by the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and supported by the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, was successfully held in Jinan. Chen Huaming, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, and Lv Wei, Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, delivered video speeches. Representatives from embassies and consulates in China from Tanzania, South Korea, and South Australia, Australia, attended the event. Chen Huaming, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, said that the current global situation of the COVID-19 pandemic is very severe, and the industrial and supply chains have been seriously affected. Against this background, with the strong support of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce held the "Import Quality Products to Shandong" event in Jinan to strengthen the connection between Shandong's foreign trade enterprises and high-quality foreign goods, help to keep international sales channels open, and further promote economic and cultural exchanges. Lv Wei, Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, introduced that Shandong is a large economic province and a large population province, and it has always unswervingly shared market opportunities with the world. This year, Shandong took the lead in the country in issuing the "Preliminary Action Plan for Implementing the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement", building a golden logistics channel, successfully holding Japan, South Korea, and RCEP import expos, and issuing policy measures to promote the import of advanced technologies and consumer goods. In the first 11 months of this year, the import volume of goods trade exceeded one trillion yuan, an increase of 31.4% year-on-year, ranking first among the top six major foreign trade provinces and cities in the country. At the event, representatives from 14 brand companies from countries and regions such as Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Germany, Australia, Tanzania, and the SCO Demonstration Zone showcased and promoted their products, including coffee beans, red wine, cosmetics, daily necessities, and leisure foods, which are representative high-quality products from various countries. At the same time, 34 representatives from large supermarkets, cross-border e-commerce platforms, and import and export trading companies from Shandong Province also attended the meeting. According to the supply and demand of products between buyers and suppliers, through precise matching in advance, each foreign company was arranged to negotiate with 3-4 Shandong purchasing companies, with a total of 84 negotiation sessions arranged. Ren Hongbin, Vice Minister of Commerce, and Ogawa Yoshinori, Vice President of the Japan-China Business Association, Executive Director of Marubeni Corporation, and General Representative in China, delivered speeches. A high-level dialogue session was also held to discuss and exchange views on the promotion of trade facilitation and industrial chain and value chain integration under the RCEP rules. The dialogue also held a signing ceremony for key projects, covering high-end equipment manufacturing, high-end chemicals, new energy, new materials, biomedicine, and food processing. In the afternoon of November 6th, the Promotion Conference of Liaocheng Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park and RCEP Regional Demonstration Industrial Park was successfully held. The event was hosted by the Management Committee of Liaocheng High-tech Industrial Development Zone and undertaken by the Investment Promotion Department of Liaocheng High-tech Industrial Development Zone. It received strong support from the Japan-Korea Economic Exchange Association, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade Office in Hangzhou, the European and American Chamber of Commerce, and the Shanghai Representative Office of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Institute of Korea. The 2021 Dongying Export Commodities Online Exhibition (Petroleum Equipment and Precision Casting Special Session) was held.


To effectively counter the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on enterprises participating in overseas exhibitions and to help foreign trade enterprises explore international markets online, Dongying Municipal Bureau of Commerce held the '2021 Dongying Export Commodities Cloud Exhibition (Petroleum Equipment and Precision Casting Special Session)' on September 15. A total of 17 foreign trade enterprises and 16 international buyers participated in this cloud exhibition. Overseas buyers came from countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, and Thailand. The products of the participating enterprises covered two major industries: petroleum equipment and precision casting. At the opening ceremony, Guo Xinfeng, Deputy Director of Dongying Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Yuri Ivanovich Nagorniak, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, delivered speeches respectively. Cai Yinsong, a Level II Researcher of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, gave an overall presentation on Dongying City's petroleum equipment and precision casting industries. Subsequently, based on the needs of both parties and prior accurate matching, Chinese and foreign enterprises conducted 'one-on-one' online negotiations, totaling 60 sessions. At the same time, our city's talent recruitment and intelligence attraction policies were promoted to attract more overseas students to work in Dongying. This cloud exhibition is the third cloud exhibition hosted by the Municipal Bureau of Commerce in 2021 and is an important measure for Dongying City's efforts to stabilize foreign trade. Through the internet, it enabled "face-to-face" exchanges and negotiations between foreign trade enterprises and international buyers, helping Chinese and foreign enterprises to "connect" online, and allowing international trade to transcend time and space boundaries.

The 2021 Dongying Export Commodity Cloud Expo (RCEP Special Session) was successfully held


To seize the window of opportunity for the RCEP agreement to come into effect, leverage policy benefits such as RCEP regional tariff reductions, and support foreign trade enterprises in expanding into ASEAN, Japan, Korea, and Australia/New Zealand markets through online channels, the Dongying Municipal Bureau of Commerce held the "2021 Dongying Export Commodities Cloud Exhibition (RCEP Special Session)" on June 3. This cloud exhibition was attended by 21 domestic and foreign trade enterprises and 19 international buyers. Overseas buyers came from Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Australia, and other countries. Exhibiting enterprise products covered three major categories: auto parts, food and agricultural products, and hardware casting. Cai Yinsong, a Level 2 Researcher of the Dongying Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Guo Xinfeng, Deputy Director, attended the opening ceremony and observed the enterprise negotiations. Cai Yinsong, Level 2 Researcher, and Jung Si-hyun, Chairman of the Korea Industry Sales Institute, delivered speeches respectively. Subsequently, based on the needs of both supply and demand sides and precise matching in the early stage, Chinese and foreign enterprises conducted 85 "one-on-one" online negotiations. This cloud exhibition was the second one held by Dongying City in 2021. Through cloud display and cloud matchmaking, it helped enterprises expand markets, secure orders, and maintain market share, effectively alleviating the adverse impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on enterprises participating in overseas exhibitions.
