2011 Nigeria China Industrial Exhibition opened in Lagos.

Xinhua News Agency, Lagos, November 8 (Reporters Cao Kai and Li Huailin) The 2011 Nigeria-China Industrial Exhibition opened on November 8 in Lagos, Nigeria's largest city, with more than 50 Chinese companies from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, and Shandong provinces participating.
Zhang Ling, director of the International Exhibition Office of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China, said in an interview with Xinhua News Agency that this exhibition is held concurrently with the 25th Lagos International Trade Fair, which opened on November 4, covering an area of nearly 2,000 square meters. Exhibits mainly involve machinery, auto parts, building materials and hardware, natural gas equipment, electronics and electrical appliances, and daily consumer goods. Well-known Chinese companies such as China Railway Construction Corporation, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile, Shandong Transportation Industry Group, Zhejiang Oriental Group, and Huamei Electric Appliances participated in the exhibition.
Zhang Ling said that after years of efforts, the China Industrial Exhibition has developed into an important platform for exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Nigerian enterprises, and has become a convenient channel for businesses in Nigeria and its surrounding countries to understand Chinese products and enterprises.
This is Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile's first time participating in the Nigeria-China Industrial Exhibition. Three yellow heavy-duty trucks neatly lined up in front of their exhibition booth attracted attention. Jin Xiangjun, head of the company's Nigerian representative office, said that Nigeria is Africa's most populous country with strong consumption capacity and a large demand for trucks. He hopes to increase Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile's brand awareness in Nigeria and further open up the market through this exhibition.
Zhejiang Huamei Electric Appliance Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is participating in the exhibition for the second time this year, showcasing a series of products including refrigerators, freezers, and display cabinets. Xu Zhengsong, manager of the company's international marketing center, said that Nigeria is Africa's largest home appliance market, and the hot weather is very suitable for the sale of refrigeration products. He hopes to develop more customers through the exhibition.
This exhibition is jointly organized by the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China and Shandong Zhenghe International Exhibition Co., Ltd., and will conclude on November 12. Jia Ping, the commercial consul of the Chinese Consulate General in Lagos, and Qi Bendou, Nigeria's former ambassador to China, visited the exhibition on the afternoon of November 8.
