Organized by the Department of Trade Development, Ministry of Commerce, and the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, and undertaken by Shandong Zhenghe International Exhibition Co., Ltd. 2013 Year Nigeria ( Lagos ) China Commodity Fair in 11 Month 5 Day -9 was successfully held in Lagos, Nigeria. The exhibition was held as a "sub-exhibition" within the Lagos International Trade Fair, located at TBS Square. This year's China Commodity Fair had a scale of 2000 square meters (including outdoor area 110 square meters), with exhibitors from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Fujian, Henan and other 10 provinces and cities 101 companies 107 booths. The exhibition hall was divided into four major areas: electromechanical, building materials, hardware, and household appliances and daily necessities, focusing on showcasing high-quality Chinese products and corporate image.
The Lagos International Trade Fair is the most influential exhibition in Nigeria and even the entire West African region. The fair started in 1981 year, and since 1986 year, it has been held annually. The fair is organized by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and co-organized by the Nigerian Federal Government and the Lagos State Government. Currently, its scale and influence are the largest in West Africa, and it has become an important platform for economic and trade cooperation and exchange in Africa. The China Commodity Fair, as a sub-exhibition, has been held for seven consecutive years this year.
During the exhibition, many visitors gathered. According to incomplete statistics, nearly 1 ten thousand people attended, including professional buyers 3000 people. The buyers mainly came from Nigeria and surrounding ECOWAS countries. The exhibitors generally gave positive feedback on this year's exhibition. Through participation, they achieved their goals of market research and understanding local customer needs; each exhibitor negotiated with an average of 31 people; 80% of the exhibitors believed that the demand in the Nigerian market was good, 87% exhibitors believed that their products met the needs of the local market ', 65% of exhibitors believed that their products had potential but required long-term cultivation. Some exhibitors made new contacts and established potential trade channels through the exhibition.
During the exhibition, the organizers held an opening reception, attended by Consul General Liu Xianfa of the Chinese Consulate General in Lagos, who gave an excellent speech. Commercial Counselor Jia, Consul Zhang, Consul Pang, Chairman Ibrou of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Nigeria China Business and Trade Association, among other guests, inspected and visited the China exhibition. This year's exhibition also received extensive media attention from Nigerian NTA National 2 and 10 stations, Xinhua News Agency Lagos branch, China Radio International's Nigeria correspondent station, PUNCH 、 BusinessDay 、 SUN 、 SATURDAY NEWSWATCH and NAN website, etc. 17 media outlets provided follow-up reports on the China Commodity Fair. This greatly promoted the influence of the exhibition and enhanced the visibility of the China Pavilion.
