Provincial Party Secretary Jiang Yikang led the Shandong Provincial Delegation on a successful visit to Australia and New Zealand.

From September 6th to 12th, 2015, Jiang Yikang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, led the Shandong Provincial Delegation on a successful visit to Australia and New Zealand. This visit by the delegation, at the invitation of Jay Weatherill, Premier of South Australia, Peter Chrisp, CEO of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, and Len Brown, Mayor of Auckland, and approved by the central government, aimed to visit relevant states and cities in both countries, promote Shandong, strengthen friendly province-state exchanges, and expand practical cooperation, achieving a series of substantive results.
On September 7th, the Shandong Province Investment and Trade Promotion Conference in Australia was held in Sydney, New South Wales. Representatives from over 150 enterprises from both sides attended the meeting for discussions and exchanges, signing a number of cooperation projects and reaching a number of investment intentions in areas such as mining, agriculture and animal husbandry, infrastructure, and real estate. Jiang Yikang and Andrew Robb, Chairman of the Australian Trade Commission, attended and delivered speeches.



From September 8th to 10th, Jiang Yikang met with Governor Hieu Van Le and Premier Jay Weatherill, reaching a consensus on further deepening friendship and carrying out comprehensive practical cooperation; he inspected the Royal Adelaide Show, gaining detailed information about the Shandong exhibition area and the South Australian beef cattle exhibition area. The 2015 China (Shandong)-South Australia Economic and Trade Matchmaking Event was also held.


On September 11th, the delegation arrived in Auckland, New Zealand, to attend and deliver a speech at the Shandong Province Investment and Trade Promotion Conference in New Zealand.
