Munich to restart meetings and exhibitions from September 1

The German meetings industry has entered a "new normal" in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Many parts of Germany have restarted the meetings industry under appropriate safety and hygiene measures and in compliance with state regulations. However, Germany Munich's events industry is recovering. With the easing of coronavirus restrictions, small events are currently possible; and from September 1st, congresses and trade fairs will be permitted. The Bavarian capital is optimistic about the second half of 2020 and eagerly anticipates numerous events, including those in innovative formats such as hybrid meetings (online and offline).
Munich's events industry will have many highlights in 2021: From April 23rd to 26th, 2021, the World Youth Leaders Summit will be held at renowned Munich venues such as BMW Welt, the Olympic Park, and the Olympic Stadium; from September 7th to 12th, 2021, Munich will host the IAA International Motor Show at the Munich Exhibition Centre; Munich will also host four matches of the UEFA Euro 2020, welcoming numerous international visitors.
