This event is a concrete action to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on promoting cross-strait integration development. It is also a pragmatic measure to implement the central government's decisions and deployments on coordinating epidemic prevention and control with economic and social development, helping Taiwanese businesses integrate into the new development pattern with domestic circulation as the mainstay and domestic and international dual circulation promoting each other.
The Shandong session is the second session following the Fujian session in July. The conference provides the most direct and effective communication method for businesses from both sides of the strait and will become an important platform for their exchange. "We hope that Taiwanese businesses will fully utilize the opportunities presented by mainland domestic consumption to expand their market."
Having invested in Shandong for nearly 30 years, Zhang Xinzheng, Vice President of the National Association of Taiwan Enterprises, said that seven years ago, his company began exploring the transition from export to domestic sales, thus withstanding the impact of the current epidemic. "When investing and establishing a presence in the mainland, one must fully consider the characteristics of the mainland market and consumer preferences." Zhang Xinzheng believes that the mainland market is currently stable, the economy is expected to recover rapidly, public demand and purchasing power are rising, and consumption potential is huge. Taiwanese businesses should seize the opportunities in the mainland market, adjust their sales directions according to market changes, and respond to challenges.
Dou Yueshuo, Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Government Office, said that the exchanges between Shandong and Taiwan have deep roots, and Shandong is currently expanding its opening up to the outside world and building a new highland for opening up. We welcome Taiwanese compatriots and businesses to invest and start businesses in Shandong, and jointly promote the high-quality development of Shandong's economy.
