The 2024 Hannover Messe took place from April 22nd to 26th. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, partner country of this Hannover Messe, jointly opened the fair. In 2023, Shandong's electromechanical product exports reached 893.83 billion yuan, a 7% increase, accounting for 46% of total exports and boosting export growth by 3.1 percentage points, contributing 278.8% to the province's overall export growth. In 2023, Shandong's electromechanical products were exported to over 230 countries and regions worldwide. Exports to the US, ASEAN, the EU, and South Korea reached 125.24 billion yuan, 124.31 billion yuan, 121.16 billion yuan, and 54.65 billion yuan respectively, accounting for nearly 50% of total electromechanical product exports. Exports to the EU and ASEAN saw double-digit growth.
