III. Market Introduction

According to the data from Indonesian research institutions, In the first quarter of 2022, Indonesia's engineering machinery output reached 2,113 units, a year-on-year increase of 49.1%. Among them, the output of hydraulic excavators was relatively high, accounting for more than 85% of Indonesia's total engineering machinery output, mainly used in mining and construction. In 2022, the Indonesian market was one of the fastest-growing overseas markets for Chinese engineering machinery. This is due to the opportunities brought to Indonesia, a major coal exporter, by the global energy crisis, and also due to the concentrated growth of local new energy project investment. The start of mining and engineering projects has created a huge demand for the engineering equipment market. In 2023, with the Indonesian market continuing to improve, Chinese engineering equipment, relying on its quality and high cost-effectiveness, domestic engineering machinery brands are also increasingly favored by overseas customers.

The Indonesia International Construction Engineering Machinery Equipment and Materials Exhibition is held annually and has been successfully held for 24 sessions. It is the largest professional engineering machinery exhibition in Indonesia, including not only indoor exhibition areas but also outdoor large-scale equipment exhibition areas, providing exhibitors with a professional platform for face-to-face technical and product exchanges and expanding the Indonesian market. In 2024, the total exhibition area was nearly 24,701 square meters, with 2,104 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions including Germany, the European Union, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and China participating in the exhibition, receiving a total of more than 10.291 million professional visitors.
