Review of the Previous Exhibition:

The 2017 Hannover Messe attracted 6,551 exhibitors from 75 countries and regions worldwide, over 200,000 professional visitors, and a total area of 350,000 square meters. 61% of the exhibitors were from outside Germany. The theme of this exhibition was "Industrial Integration - Creating Value," focusing on showcasing over 500 applications of Industry 4.0. Artificial intelligence robots and new energy transformation solutions were also highlights of this exhibition. Poland, as the partner country of this exhibition, showcased its advanced technological level.

It is worth mentioning that China became the largest overseas exhibiting group at this exhibition, with over 1,300 exhibiting companies and an exhibition area of 22,000 square meters. Leading Chinese advanced manufacturing companies, such as Huawei Technologies, Haier Group, and Hangzhou Donghua Chain Group, showcased high-tech products and solutions in industrial digitalization, cloud computing, and power transmission to the world.

Highlights of the 2018 Exhibition:

(1) The merger of Industrial Automation and Power Transmission into the IAMD Special Exhibition

With the wave of Industry 4.0 sweeping the world, industrial sectors and systems are accelerating their integration across the entire value chain. The trend of interconnectedness and built-in intelligence is leading to ever-shorter innovation cycles. At the same time, the demand for comprehensive solutions tailored to real-world operational requirements is constantly growing. As innovation cycles become shorter, Industry 4.0 is blurring the lines between industries. To adapt to this new reality, Hannover Messe will merge its annual Industrial Automation exhibition and its biennial Power Transmission and Control exhibition (MDA) into an Integrated Automation and Motion Drive exhibition (IAMD) starting in 2018. A special exhibition hall for fluid power and mechanical power transmission will showcase complete solutions for industrial automation, power transmission, and fluid power technologies.

(2) Concurrent with CeMAT Hannover

In 2018, Hannover Messe will be held concurrently with CeMAT 2018, one of the world's three major logistics exhibitions, at the Hannover Exhibition Center.
