III. Exhibition Overview

The China Products Exhibition in Nigeria (Lagos) has been successfully held for 18 editions, enjoying strong support from both the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Lagos State Government, and has become one of Nigeria’s most renowned brand‑building trade fairs. After two decades of development, the event has emerged as the premier platform for economic and trade cooperation and exchange in Nigeria and across West Africa, extending its reach to countries such as Ghana, Benin, Togo, and Côte d’Ivoire. It helps Chinese enterprises expand into the African market and seize new opportunities, markets, and growth trajectories under the Belt and Road Initiative.

IV. Review of Previous Sessions

In 2025, the exhibition will span 5,000 square meters, bringing together more than 130 high-quality exhibitors from China and Nepal and showcasing innovative products and solutions across a wide range of sectors, including machinery and equipment, power and new energy, building materials and hardware, electronics and electrical appliances, and consumer goods.

The exhibition attracted more than 6,000 high‑quality buyers from Nigeria, as well as from West African countries including Benin, Ghana, and Togo, and from nations such as Kenya, India, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, France, Spain, and Lebanon. 2. Long-term, stable cooperation with overseas business associations: Our company maintains long-term, stable cooperative relationships with dozens of business associations in Nigeria. Prior to the exhibition, we conduct centralized screening, invitations, and follow-up on the extensive pool of exhibitor and buyer leads we have gathered, ensuring that highly qualified, professionally engaged buyers with clear purchasing intentions attend the event.
  3. A wide range of exhibition‑related events: Multiple sessions are scheduled during the exhibition. Brand promotion, product launches, park‑level investment attraction, and partnership negotiations—these activities enable exhibitors to achieve efficient, targeted outreach to their ideal audiences right at the show, without needing to allocate additional resources to secure a platform.
  4. Post-event follow-up: Following the exhibition, we regularly facilitate procurement matchmaking between participating companies and Nigerian buyers, and provide enterprises with end-to-end support services, including logistics, overseas warehousing, and investment‑in‑factory‑establishment solutions.

VII. Publicity and Promotion

Pre-event publicity and promotion to broaden the exhibition’s reach.

• Conduct extensive media coverage through outlets such as Punch and Business Day to enhance the exhibition’s visibility and influence.

• Targeted advertising campaigns will be maintained year-round across online social media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, as well as outdoor advertising channels including bus wraps, highways, and exterior walls.

• On-the-ground promotion and roadshow outreach: Members of the Nigeria Representative Office conducted intensive grassroots marketing in local specialized markets, visiting key commercial districts and distribution hubs such as Ladipo Market, Alaba International Market, and Lagos Island’s Balogun area to carry out roadshow promotions. They also distributed exhibition invitation letters directly to distributors and agents on a one‑on‑one basis.

VIII. Nigeria’s Five Core Advantages

  1. The largest scale in absolute terms: Nigeria’s population exceeds 230 million, making it the most populous country in Africa, with a vast labor force and a substantial consumer market. It is also Africa’s largest economy, leading in total GDP, and serves as the economic and consumption hub of West Africa.
  2. Clearly defined policy-driven demand: The government has designated the development of manufacturing and economic diversification as national priorities, generating sustained, rigid demand for machinery, construction materials, and advanced technologies across sectors such as infrastructure development, agricultural modernization, and local production. To boost employment, the government is promoting “local manufacturing,” thereby creating an ideal platform for investment and cooperation to facilitate the transfer of China’s cost‑competitive production capacity, equipment, and technologies.
  3. Deep complementarity with China’s industries: China has long been Nigeria’s largest source of imports, with the country’s demand for electromechanical products, machinery, construction materials, and consumer goods aligning precisely with sectors in which Chinese manufacturing is mature and globally competitive. Moreover, the technologies suited to Nigeria’s current stage of development and cost‑effective solutions are highly complementary to the strengths of China’s mid‑range manufacturing sector.
  4. Its gateway status to West Africa: Blessed with major ports such as the Lekki Deepwater Port, Apapa Port, and Tin Can Island Port, Nigeria serves as a natural gateway to the Economic Community of West African States market. Under this regional integration agreement, gaining access to the Nigerian market effectively provides a springboard to a region encompassing more than 400 million people.
  5. A vibrant business ecosystem: According to the World Bank’s latest statistics, Nigeria’s urbanization rate stands at 55.3%, and its growing middle class exhibits strong demand for branded consumer electronics, home appliances, automobiles, and more. A nascent commercial ecosystem—comprising businesses, logistics providers, and distributors—has already taken shape.
