03-15
International Online (Reporter Li Chunguang): Nigerian Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima said on the 4th in an exclusive interview with our reporter that Borno State is willing to actively carry out agricultural cooperation with China to help the state completely eliminate hunger, achieve self-sufficiency in food production, and agricultural transformation.
Shettima stated that during his visit to China, he was deeply impressed by China's modernized agricultural technology. He believes that China's modernized agricultural machinery and tools, as well as excellent seeds and fertilizers, are key to the success of China's modernized agriculture. In just a few decades, China has solved the food problem for over a billion people, achieving the goals of poverty reduction and hunger eradication. Therefore, Borno State hopes to learn from China's experience and, by continuing to carry out agricultural cooperation with China, solve problems faced in the agricultural sector, such as dry season planting.
In addition, Shettima also expressed hope for strengthening cooperation with Chinese solar power generation enterprises to solve the power problems faced during the agricultural modernization process in Borno State.
