Time is running out, but all will be well in the end | Our actions: Three people walking together, there is always someone to learn from

04-17

The sudden COVID-19 pandemic brought the global economy to a standstill, affecting all industries. The exhibition industry, a service sector, was particularly hard hit, with many large-scale industry exhibitions postponing their events. Faced with a near industry reshuffle, exhibition professionals need to make full use of this downtime for self-improvement to find new development strategies. Time will tell, and we look forward to the day when the industry restarts.

Self-improvement is key. Since late March, while managing our key exhibitions, we have implemented thorough disinfection of our office areas and organized employee training while maintaining social distancing. We have enhanced employee knowledge and skills through multi-faceted training. The training covered design and construction software applications, exhibition industry knowledge upgrades, customer development and maintenance, and the cultivation of comprehensive qualities for team leaders. The sharing session, from the instructors' comprehensive presentations to the participants' open discussions and questions, brought everyone together in a thirst for knowledge!

And now, here's a presentation!

(Those who want the training materials from our masters, please private message the editor for exchange!)

Basic application of design and construction software

The demand for design in the exhibition industry has been continuously increasing. To meet the needs of everyone wanting to become design experts, this year's employee training kicked off with this goal, striving to enable everyone to become cross-functional experts.

—— After the training, I tried it out, and making myself look beautiful in photos is extremely difficult!

—— Easy to understand, but difficult to do. When will I reach the teacher's level?

Let's talk about how to turn clients into friends

"Don't step on the client's landmines," "Maintain a respectful yet confident attitude," "Learn to read between the lines"... Most importantly, self-improvement is key. Solid professional knowledge is essential for clients to rely on you. The sharing of everyone's experiences resonated deeply.

—— As long as we are sincere with our clients, we will receive sincerity in return.

Two methods for finding clients

Different industries have different methods for finding clients. Once you find the right approach, you'll find that client resources will continuously flow to you. Then, it's about building an equal and complementary relationship, like a partnership.

——Clients may mistreat me a thousand times, but I treat them like my first love.

How to identify the most valuable fish after casting a wide net

The three different client classification methods of "sesame clients," "apple clients," and "watermelon clients" provided a clear understanding. Effective and accurate classification of client groups can significantly improve work efficiency.

——Accurately judging the "value" of a client is also a reflection of one's business capabilities.

What value-added services can you provide?

"Concierge-style" service is not a derogatory term here, but innovation is also needed. After all, the reason clients choose us is not just for service; the ultimate goal is the benefits of exhibiting.

——The best investment is education, and the best benefit is training. Thank you to the company for providing this growth platform.

Go forth, and don't look back

The ten thousand whys of business trips: before, during, and after? You can find answers here. The invaluable case sharing and open suggestions made this training very successful.

——Bravely knock on the client's door.

What are the qualities of an excellent team leader?

When leading a group abroad, you will be a walking encyclopedia. Strong comprehensive qualities will make you unforgettable and favored.

——A client felt unwell and nauseous during a trip. I gave him a mint I had with me, and his condition improved significantly. Later, he mentioned that if it weren't for that mint, he might have vomited in the car, which would have been embarrassing. Because of that mint, he has joined three more trips.

During the pandemic, crises and opportunities coexist. When you are at a loss, stay calm and cultivate your skills so you won't lose your composure. Finally, I would like to thank all my training colleagues! Experience is the most valuable lesson, and I am grateful for the sharing. More sharing and exchanges to come!

Zhenghe Exhibition visited Nigerian automotive technology and other industry associations to promote cooperation on the 2025 Nigeria (Lagos) China Goods Expo.

From January 3rd to 6th, 2025, representatives of Zhenghe Exhibition's overseas staff successively visited the secretariat of the Nigerian Automotive Technicians Association (NATA), the Amalgamated Union of Automobile Motor Mechanics and Technicians of Nigeria (AUOMMATON), and the Motor Mechanics and Technicians Association of Nigeria (MOMTAN). This visit primarily focused on in-depth discussions and exchanges regarding cooperation for the 2025 Nigeria (Lagos) China Commodities Fair. During the meetings, representatives of Zhenghe Exhibition's overseas staff introduced the basic situation of the Nigeria (Lagos) China Commodities Fair to the heads of the business associations. The heads of the various business associations acknowledged the significant achievements made by the exhibition in recent years. During the discussions, the three industry association leaders provided detailed information about their respective associations. As leaders and promoters of associations related to the automotive industry in Nigeria, these three associations have a wide influence in Nigeria and even West Africa. Against the backdrop of continuously deepening and upgrading China-Africa cooperation, they expressed high expectations for actively promoting trade cooperation between Nigeria and China in the automotive industry. The heads of the associations also stated their willingness to work with Zhenghe International Exhibition to jointly promote the continuous development of the Nigeria (Lagos) China Commodities Fair, uniformly organize member units to participate in the exhibition, and conduct one-on-one matchmaking discussions with Chinese exhibitors. As Africa's second-largest economy and most populous country, Nigeria has a huge demand for automotive and auto parts products, largely relying on imports. In Nigeria, over 90% of Nigerians tend to choose 'tokunbo' (used cars), which makes the 'tokunbo' distribution business very profitable in Nigeria. With the Nigerian government relaxing age restrictions on imported used cars, the volume of used car imports will further increase. Consequently, the auto parts market, both upstream and downstream of Nigeria's used car industry chain, will also see more opportunities. After years of operation by Chinese automakers, Chinese cars have established considerable 'prestige' in Nigeria. At the same time, the scarcity of local car repair outlets and the high cost of spare parts in Nigeria also indicate immense potential for Chinese auto parts exports to the Nigerian market.
