The Shandong Provincial Delegation Successfully Holds a Series of Service Trade Promotion Events in Australia and New Zealand

To further deepen the service trade cooperation between our province and Australia and New Zealand, and to promote Shandong's service brands, 2018 From September 5th to 12th, a delegation led by Mao Shengjun, chief economist of the Provincial Department of Commerce, and composed of representatives from the Provincial Department of Culture, the Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and key enterprises in our province, went to Australia and New Zealand to carry out a series of service trade promotion activities, achieving complete success.
On September 10th, our province held a "Service Trade Promotion Conference" at the Melbourne Convention Centre. Approximately 100 people attended, including representatives from the Chinese Consulate General in Melbourne, the Victorian Government, the Australia-China Business Council, Melbourne City Hall, overseas Chinese business associations, Chinese-funded institutions, and enterprises.




From August 31st to September 9th, our province organized 12 key enterprises to participate in the exhibition. This is the first time Shandong has organized service trade enterprises to participate in this exhibition. The products and services exhibited mainly involved culture, horticulture, sports and leisure, festival gifts, home fashion, and traditional Chinese medicine health care. During the exhibition, 15,000 visitors from South Australia and an estimated 1,500 professional buyers were received.


The delegation held working meetings with the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Agency, the Auckland Shandong Chamber of Commerce, the South Australia Shandong Chamber of Commerce, the Australia Trade Commission, the Australia-China Chamber of Commerce, and the Australia-China Business Bridge.
