To help foreign trade enterprises overcome the impact of the epidemic and connect with overseas procurement needs, the 2020 Dongying Export Commodity Online Cloud Expo (Tire and Auto Parts Special Session), hosted by Dongying Municipal Bureau of Commerce and undertaken by Shandong Zhenghe International Exhibition Co., Ltd., was held online at the Dongying Municipal Bureau of Commerce on the afternoon of July 30th, Beijing time. Zhenghe Exhibition set up a branch venue.

This cloud exhibition mainly focuses on tires and auto parts. The exhibited products include various types of rubber tires, wheels, brake pads, brake discs, mufflers, exhaust pipes, engine parts, lubricating grease, etc., providing a display window and customer acquisition channels for "Dongying manufacturing", especially "Dongying intelligent manufacturing", helping enterprises to "grab orders and retain customers". This cloud exhibition attracted a total of 23 foreign buyers from Nigeria, South Africa, Pakistan, Australia, Uganda, Botswana and other countries, and 24 tire and auto parts manufacturing enterprises in Dongying City, such as Wanda Baotong Tire, Fangxing Rubber, Huasheng Rubber, Baofeng Auto Parts, Baotai Auto Parts, and Xinyi Brake System, for online negotiations and exchanges.

During the event, Xi Mu Shan, Director of Dongying Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Cai Yinsong, Deputy Director of Dongying Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Mr. Muda Yusuf, Secretary General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nigeria, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Xi Mu Shan, Director of Dongying Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said in his speech that Dongying, as the birthplace of Shengli Oilfield, China's second largest oil industrial base, has a strong manufacturing foundation and has formed characteristic industries such as petrochemicals, rubber, petroleum equipment, and non-ferrous metals, with trade relations with more than 200 countries and regions worldwide. This year, affected by the epidemic, offline exhibitions and international trade have been impacted. Today, we are innovating cooperation methods, using cloud technology to shorten distances, allowing Chinese and foreign enterprises to communicate face-to-face through the network to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Mr. Muda Yusuf, Secretary General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nigeria, delivered a speech, stating that the bilateral relations between China and Nigeria have a long history, and in recent years, bilateral trade has been steadily upgraded. As a strategic import center for Nigerian manufacturers, China's presence can be seen in many sectors in Nigeria. Dongying City is one of the most famous auto parts and tire production and export bases in China and the world. He hopes that more tire and auto parts companies from Dongying can come to Nigeria to enhance the local auto industry. He sincerely wishes that the enterprises from both sides can establish connections during this cloud exhibition and lay a good foundation for future substantial trade exchanges.

Cai Yinsong, Deputy Director of Dongying Municipal Bureau of Commerce, shared the industrial situation of tires and auto parts in Dongying City through the event. In his introduction, he pointed out that Dongying City is an important radial tire production base in China, a rubber tire export base in China, and a Shandong Province foreign trade transformation and upgrading (tire) professional demonstration base. The rubber tire industry in Dongying City has a very prominent advantage. In terms of industrial scale, industrial system, quality brands, and technological level, it ranks among the top in China and even the world.

At the same time, the auto parts manufacturing industry in Dongying City has also made significant progress, and its technological equipment and scientific research capabilities have reached the international leading level. At the meeting, Deputy Director Cai Yinsong also introduced in detail Dongying City's "double recruitment and double introduction" incentive policies.

In the "one-on-one" negotiation session, a total of 100 rounds of enterprise negotiations were arranged through pre-matching. The atmosphere at the negotiation site was enthusiastic, with representatives of Chinese and foreign enterprises of different skin colors and languages engaging in "wheel-style" communication and exchanges. Through active preparation before the meeting, foreign buyers accurately conveyed clear procurement intentions, and Chinese suppliers showcased their own advantages based on the needs, thereby improving the efficiency of negotiations during the meeting, expanding overseas contacts for enterprises, and creating unlimited opportunities.

This event received affirmation and recognition from participating enterprises. Shandong Huasheng Rubber Co., Ltd., Dongying Fangxing Rubber Co., Ltd., and Dongying Xinbo Auto Parts Co., Ltd. all gave high praise to the exhibition, stating that the buyers we invited were very professional. Huasheng Rubber stated that most of the buyers had previous contact, and further communication and exchanges were achieved through this exhibition. Fangxing Rubber also stated that the five companies it contacted were all quite suitable. Dongying Xinbo Auto Parts stated that such online docking meetings are of great help to enterprises, and they hope that more such events can be held to create more opportunities for enterprises.

In response to the impact of the epidemic on foreign trade, and to help foreign trade enterprises find international orders and expand overseas markets, Zhenghe Exhibition Company, utilizing years of customer accumulation, actively contacted foreign market customers, explored online docking models, and organized and undertook a series of Shandong import and export commodity cloud exhibition activities. Relying on online meeting platforms, it provides buyers and suppliers with online real-time product information display, online instant communication, cloud conference discussions, 3D/VR technology virtual booths, and precise supply and demand matching services.

Currently, the company has successfully held many cloud exhibition events, including the 2020 Shandong Export Commodities (Thailand) Cloud Exhibition, the 2020 Shandong Export Commodities (Thailand) Cloud Exhibition (Yantai Special Session), the 2020 Jinan Import and Export Commodities (India) Cloud Exhibition, the 2020 Jinan Import and Export Commodities (Nigeria) Cloud Exhibition, the 2020 Shandong Export Commodities (Australia) Cloud Exhibition, the 2020 China Export Commodities (Nigeria) Cloud Exhibition - Apparel and Electronic Products Special Session, and the 2020 "Charming Jinan" Import and Export Commodities (Australia) Cloud Exhibition.

Currently, the company has an experienced cloud exhibition service team, familiar with the entire process of cloud exhibition implementation, proficient in cloud exhibition operating systems, and capable of handling various emergencies. For each cloud exhibition, by contacting overseas exhibition organizers, exhibition companies, overseas warehouses, overseas business associations, embassy commercial sections, provincial government overseas representative offices, etc., more extensive and precise buyer invitations are carried out. More professional buyers are selected to participate, and the specific supply and demand situation of participating enterprises is accurately understood, achieving high-precision matching and effective docking between the two enterprises. Through one-on-one online negotiations between enterprises, the intended transaction amount is promoted, providing a guarantee for enterprises to stabilize orders.
Under the impact of the epidemic, "cloud exhibitions" will become a new driving force and engine for promoting foreign trade work. In the future, Zhenghe Exhibition will continue to promote and organize more online exhibition activities, with special sessions potentially covering Germany, the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, the European Union, ASEAN, Japan, and South Korea, helping enterprises develop new customers and expand new markets.

Zhenghe Exhibition visited Nigerian automotive technology and other industry associations to promote cooperation on the 2025 Nigeria (Lagos) China Goods Expo.

From January 3rd to 6th, 2025, representatives of Zhenghe Exhibition's overseas staff successively visited the secretariat of the Nigerian Automotive Technicians Association (NATA), the Amalgamated Union of Automobile Motor Mechanics and Technicians of Nigeria (AUOMMATON), and the Motor Mechanics and Technicians Association of Nigeria (MOMTAN). This visit primarily focused on in-depth discussions and exchanges regarding cooperation for the 2025 Nigeria (Lagos) China Commodities Fair. During the meetings, representatives of Zhenghe Exhibition's overseas staff introduced the basic situation of the Nigeria (Lagos) China Commodities Fair to the heads of the business associations. The heads of the various business associations acknowledged the significant achievements made by the exhibition in recent years. During the discussions, the three industry association leaders provided detailed information about their respective associations. As leaders and promoters of associations related to the automotive industry in Nigeria, these three associations have a wide influence in Nigeria and even West Africa. Against the backdrop of continuously deepening and upgrading China-Africa cooperation, they expressed high expectations for actively promoting trade cooperation between Nigeria and China in the automotive industry. The heads of the associations also stated their willingness to work with Zhenghe International Exhibition to jointly promote the continuous development of the Nigeria (Lagos) China Commodities Fair, uniformly organize member units to participate in the exhibition, and conduct one-on-one matchmaking discussions with Chinese exhibitors. As Africa's second-largest economy and most populous country, Nigeria has a huge demand for automotive and auto parts products, largely relying on imports. In Nigeria, over 90% of Nigerians tend to choose 'tokunbo' (used cars), which makes the 'tokunbo' distribution business very profitable in Nigeria. With the Nigerian government relaxing age restrictions on imported used cars, the volume of used car imports will further increase. Consequently, the auto parts market, both upstream and downstream of Nigeria's used car industry chain, will also see more opportunities. After years of operation by Chinese automakers, Chinese cars have established considerable 'prestige' in Nigeria. At the same time, the scarcity of local car repair outlets and the high cost of spare parts in Nigeria also indicate immense potential for Chinese auto parts exports to the Nigerian market.
