II. Exhibition Introduction:

Automechanika Istanbul has become the number one exhibition in the OEM and aftermarket in Eurasia since its first launch in Istanbul in 1995. It brings together expertise and professionals related to automotive manufacturing, sales, and maintenance from across Eurasia, providing a valuable opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the local market. Turkey's location at the heart of Eurasia, connecting to the Middle East to the east and North Africa and Eastern Europe to the west, makes it a crucial transit point for these regions. To boost exports, many factories are planning to expand capacity and improve production technology, leading to an increasing demand for foreign parts suppliers' products in Turkey.

In 2022, the exhibition welcomed 48,354 visitors from 141 countries and regions, with 28% from overseas. The exhibition brought together 825 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions, including seven national pavilions from China, Germany, South Korea, Morocco, Pakistan, Poland, and India. Despite ongoing international travel restrictions, 28 Chinese companies participated in various forms. Two exhibitors customized their booths, and over half chose remote participation. Ultimately, regardless of participation method, exhibitors achieved satisfactory results. All participating Chinese exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the exhibition's effectiveness, achieving a 100% approval rating! Furthermore, 88% of exhibitors stated they would participate in the next exhibition. Exhibitors were highly satisfied with the quality of visitors, particularly exceeding 90% satisfaction in reaching customers outside Turkey, acquiring new customers, visitor decision-making power, and reaching effective customer groups.

IV. Market Analysis:

Turkey's annual automobile production in 2021 reached 1.3 million units, ranking fourth in Europe, and its commercial vehicle production was first in Europe. Thirty of the world's top 50 automotive suppliers have factories in Turkey. From January to October 2022, gasoline vehicle sales accounted for 70.8%, reaching 16,109 units; diesel vehicle sales accounted for 16.7%, reaching 74,677 units; and hybrid vehicle sales accounted for 9.8%, reaching 43,897 units. The overall passenger car market in Turkey has 446,664 units. Type A, B, and C vehicles account for 87.8% of the market, with Type C vehicles having the highest share at 51%, totaling 227,813 units; Type B vehicles are second at 36.3%, totaling 162,181 units.
