III. Market Introduction

Sao Paulo Commercial Vehicle and Parts Exhibition, Brazil Automec, also known as the Brazil Auto Parts Exhibition, was founded in 1993 and is held biennially. It is a professional auto parts exhibition in South America and a focus for new automotive parts technologies and business.

Brazil's land area is 8.51 million square kilometers, making it the fifth largest country in the world and the largest in South America. Brazil's automotive industry began to develop rapidly in the 1960s. There are now more than 460 auto parts companies of various sizes, mainly concentrated in the Sao Paulo region, the triangle area of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro states. However, Brazil's domestic brands and related parts manufacturing capabilities are relatively low, and the parts, repair and supplies industry has a high dependence on imports. The South American automotive market is the world's fourth largest after North America, Asia and Europe. Taking Brazil as an example, its large population and developed economy have created a rapidly developing automotive market, making it the world's ninth largest automobile producer and eighth largest automobile sales market. The potential of its automotive and auto parts market is undeniable.

In 2023, the exhibition area reached 100,000㎡, attracting more than 1,500 Brazilian and international brands from 12 countries, and more than 91,000 visitors from 60 countries, achieving a business transaction volume of approximately US$5.9 billion.

Official data shows that 60% of professional visitors are senior company executives with final decision-making power, and the proportion of professional visitors who directly influence procurement is as high as 61.5%. The vast majority of visitors are keenly interested in automotive components and systems.
