Singapore has a developed maritime industry, with a vibrant market for oil tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, and shipbuilding technology equipment, and strong demand. Located at a major global transportation hub and a world-renowned ship repair center, Singapore sees a large number of ships undergoing repairs and dry-docking annually, leading to significant procurement of ship repair equipment and parts.

Singapore's advantageous geographical location means that merchant ships from the Russian Far East, China, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia to the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe must pass through Singapore. This creates favorable conditions for the development of Singapore's ship repair and maritime services industry. Last year, Singapore's maritime industry received orders exceeding S$5 billion.

Singapore builds over 400 ships annually, with a total deadweight tonnage of nearly 4 million. Currently, Singapore's maritime industry is thriving, with a strong demand for oil tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, and shipbuilding technology equipment. Singapore is also a traditional and important market for China's marine equipment and spare parts, radiating to surrounding countries and regions.
