Exhibition Introduction:

Hannover Messe has a history of 71 years. It is not only the world's largest industrial exhibition in terms of exhibition area, but also boasts extremely high technological content in its exhibits. It is recognized as one of the most important platforms connecting global industrial design, processing and manufacturing, technology application, and international trade. It has developed into the flagship exhibition in the global industrial trade field, a barometer of world industrial trade, and a weathervane for global industrial technological development.

Exhibition Review:

In 2017, Hannover Messe attracted 6,551 exhibitors from 75 countries and regions worldwide, over 200,000 professional visitors, and a total area of 350,000 square meters. 61% of the exhibitors came from outside Germany. More than 500 applications of Industry 4.0 were showcased, with artificial intelligence robots and new energy transformation solutions being highlights of the exhibition. China was the largest overseas national group, with over 1,300 exhibiting companies and an exhibition area of 22,000 square meters. Leading Chinese manufacturing companies, such as Huawei and Haier, showcased advanced technologies, products, and solutions in industrial digitalization, cloud computing, and power transmission.

In 2018, Hannover Messe and the Logistics Fair were held concurrently, attracting 5,800 exhibitors from 75 countries and regions worldwide. Hannover Messe had over 5,000 exhibitors from more than 70 countries, with over 60% of exhibitors from outside Germany. The Logistics Fair had over 600 exhibitors, 39% of whom were from outside Germany. The total exhibition area was 230,000 square meters, with Hannover Messe occupying 158,000 square meters and the Logistics Fair 72,000 square meters. The exhibition attracted 210,000 professional visitors. In both Hannover Messe and the Logistics Fair, the exhibition area and number of exhibitors from China were second only to Germany. The Industrial Automation and Power Transmission topics were merged. Along with the wave of Industry 4.0, industrial sectors and systems are accelerating their integration across the entire value chain. The trend towards interconnectedness and built-in intelligence is leading to ever-shorter innovation cycles. At the same time, the demand for holistic solutions tailored to real-world operational requirements is constantly growing. As innovation cycles become shorter, Industry 4.0 is blurring the lines between industries. To adapt to this new reality, Hannover Messe merged the annual Industrial Automation exhibition and the biennial Power Transmission and Control exhibition into the Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives exhibition (IAMD) starting in 2018. A special fluid power and mechanical power transmission hall was set up to showcase complete solutions for industrial automation, transmission, and fluid power technologies.
