Kunyu in Accord, Qingdao in Step—The 14th Division Kunyu City–Shandong (Qingdao) Industrial Pairing Conference Was Successfully Held

      The Shandong (Qingdao) Industrial Matching Conference of Kunyu City, 14th Division was successfully held on October 13. Hosted by the 14th Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and Kunyu City, the event was co-organized by the Bureau of Commerce of the 14th Division and Kunyu City and Shandong Brightway International Exhibition Co., Ltd. Maimaitiali Tuerhong, Deputy Secretary of the Division Party Committee, Commander of the Division, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Mayor of Kunyu Municipal People’s Government, and Gao Yan, Deputy Director of Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Commerce, attended the conference and delivered speeches. Around 200 representatives from chambers of commerce including Shandong Chamber of Commerce of XPCC and Leshan Chamber of Commerce in Shandong, as well as entrepreneurs from all sectors of Shandong gathered together to exchange friendship, discuss development plans and envision a shared future.
      Nestled at the foot of the Kunlun Mountains and beside the Yellow Sea, the two regions are linked by mountains and seas, bound by sincere friendship. Delegates from the 14th Division and Kunyu City traveled east to Qingdao with full sincerity to host this industrial matchmaking event, extending a warm invitation to entrepreneurs across Shandong Province to seize opportunities of the times, deepen pragmatic cooperation and jointly embrace win-win development. This promotion event marks the official launch of the division-city’s centralized investment promotion campaign in Shandong.
      At the promotion session, Maimaitiali Tuerhong delivered a detailed introduction to entrepreneurs regarding the policy dividends, geographical advantages, abundant natural resources and sound business environment of the 14th Division and Kunyu City. He pointed out that Kunyu brims with boundless possibilities, opportunities and growth potential. He pledged to offer the most favorable policies, highest-standard reception, premium resources and top-tier services, continuously polishing Kunyu’s business environment brand of “Four Bests & Four Reassurances”, and provide full support and thoughtful services for all entrepreneurs to realize their ambitions, launch projects and invest in this promising land.
      Gao Yan, Deputy Director of Qingdao Bureau of Commerce; Meng Xiangang, President of Shandong Chamber of Commerce of XPCC; and Academician Xue Bing were invited to deliver speeches. They called on Shandong-based entrepreneurs to visit Kunyu for on-site inspections, experience its diverse charms and witness its outstanding investment and business environment firsthand. Leading officials from the Division-City Bureau of Commerce, Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Sports, and Human Resources and Social Security Bureau gave presentations respectively covering local industrial development priorities, supportive policies, immersive cultural tourism experiences and employment guarantee services, greatly stirring entrepreneurs’ enthusiasm to invest and develop businesses in Kunyu.
      A centralized signing ceremony was held during the event. Focusing on agricultural product processing, textile and garment manufacturing, equipment manufacturing and other industries, the Division-City Bureau of Commerce, Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Economic Development Zone and various regimental farms signed investment agreements for 10 investment promotion projects with interested enterprises. The projects include the Kunlun Mountain Xinjiang-aided Pasture Sightseeing Ranch Cultural Tourism Project, Pishan Farm Desert Ecological Computing Center plus Jerusalem Artichoke Large-scale Planting Project, Kunyu Economic Development Zone Intelligent Home Appliance Assembly Industrial Park and Electronic Component Assembly Industrial Park, with a total contracted investment of over 3 billion RMB. Strategic cooperation agreements were also reached with Shandong Chamber of Commerce of XPCC, Liaocheng Chamber of Commerce in Qingdao, SCO & Belt and Road Green Building Industry Alliance and Qingdao Women Entrepreneurs Association, injecting strong momentum into Kunyu City’s integration into the Bohai Rim Economic Circle and high-quality development of southern Xinjiang. Certificates of appointment as “Investment Promotion Ambassadors” of the 14th Division and Kunyu City were awarded to representatives of 7 chambers of commerce and entrepreneurs at the event.
      A special exhibition zone featuring local agricultural specialties elaborately prepared by the 14th Division and Kunyu City became a major highlight of the event. A rich array of distinctive local produce allowed entrepreneurs to enjoy an immersive experience. Attendees stopped repeatedly to taste and evaluate featured products including Hotan jujubes, grey jujubes, assorted dried fruits, organic Kunlun mutton, alpine snow chrysanthemums and fat-seed rice.
      After the conference, invited enterprises expressed unanimous optimism about Kunyu’s strategic location, superior business environment and huge development potential as a core area along the Belt and Road Initiative. Many enterprises regard Kunyu as the prime destination for westward industrial layout. They stated they would quickly organize inspection delegations to conduct in-depth local research, carry out targeted layout in sectors such as intensive processing of agricultural products, cross-border trade and warehousing logistics, and forge new paths for bilateral cooperation.
