The 41st PLMA International Private Label Trade Show was successfully held at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in Amsterdam from May 19 to 20. At this exhibition, Shandong Brightway International Exhibition Co., Ltd. coordinated and organized nearly a hundred high-quality domestic enterprises to form a delegation for the European exhibition. The delegation showcased the industrial strengths of China’s manufacturing sector and facilitated efficient connections with high-end European retail buyers.
With over four decades of industry experience, PLMA boasts unrivaled industrial influence and global reach. The 2026 edition set a new all-time record in overall scale, featuring a net exhibition area of over 47,000 square meters. It brought together more than 3,200 exhibitors from 75 countries and regions worldwide, attracting 19,000 professional buyers from over 120 countries for on-site sourcing and business negotiations. There were national pavilions from 70 countries in total. Statistics show the Chinese delegation ranked among the world’s top five in size, standing out as one of the most competitive overseas groups at the show — solid proof of the recognition and market potential of Chinese private-label products across Europe. The expo centers on two core segments: food and non-food. It features hot categories including healthy snacks, eco-friendly packaging, pet supplies, household and daily chemicals, perfectly aligning with European retail’s current procurement trends of sustainability, premium quality and cost-effectiveness.
The exhibitor delegation organized by Brightway International featured a well-structured lineup with distinctive industrial characteristics, among which high-quality Shandong enterprises accounted for 20% of participants, covering key competitive sectors such as condiments, canned food, pet food, eco-friendly packaging and household goods. The group comprised long-established industry veterans and emerging market players. Veteran regular exhibitors included Shandong Shisheng Brewing Food Co., Ltd., Qingdao Yalute Food Co., Ltd. and Shandong Rouchi Food Co., Ltd., alongside rising newcomers such as Longkou Zhenxing Grain & Oil Food Co., Ltd., Shandong Wanxing Condiment Co., Ltd. and Haotaitai Food Co., Ltd. Supported by standardized production systems, rigorous quality control standards and product R&D tailored to European market demands, these enterprises won high acclaim from overseas buyers. “This is a crucial opportunity for us to expand into Europe. The exhibition’s professionalism and efficiency of targeted matchmaking have exceeded our expectations,” said a representative of one exhibiting enterprise.
Shandong Brightway International Exhibition Co., Ltd. has long followed the policy initiative “Thousands of Enterprises Go Global: Shandong Trade Connects the World” issued by the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce. In the second half of the year, backed by provincial subsidies for overseas market expansion, Brightway International will target booming sectors including cross-border e-commerce and bulk commodity trade as well as new energy storage. It will coordinate enterprise delegations to attend overseas professional expos such as the 2026 Thailand Cross-border E-commerce Sourcing Fair, China Commodities Fair (Lagos, Nigeria), and the New Energy & Energy Storage Technology Fair in Düsseldorf, Germany.
