08-18
Yuthasak Supornsilp, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand On the 14th, he said that Thailand is still working hard to control the COVID-19 epidemic, and it may open to Chinese tourists around October this year at the earliest.
Yuthasak said that as the epidemic eases, Thailand is gradually relaxing restrictions, but it will still proceed cautiously with the reopening. “In order to better track tourists, when we reopen, we will first allow small tour groups to enter the country and will not encourage individual travel for the time being. At the same time, we will decide which areas to open to tourists based on the epidemic prevention and control situation in each province, local public opinion, the status of tourism operators and airlines.”
