Since its inception in 2003, this exhibition has been successfully held for 13 sessions. At the same time, the exhibition has received strong support from Indonesian government departments and associations such as the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Commerce, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, enjoying great popularity and influence in Indonesia. Furthermore, Jakarta, the exhibition venue, is the political center of Indonesia, as well as an economic and commercial hub. Most of Indonesia's manufacturing industries are distributed in West Java, Banten, and East Java provinces surrounding Jakarta. This political and economic distribution determines the role of the Indonesia Jakarta International Building Materials & Technology Exhibition as a barometer for the Indonesian building materials market.
