Exhibition Introduction:

SIAL, held in Paris in October of even-numbered years, is the world's largest international food exhibition, attracting numerous food manufacturers, traders, purchasers, and professional buyers from all over the world each year. In 2001, the organizer, Comexposium, decided to establish a sister exhibition in Canada, the Canada International Food Exhibition (originally named SIAL Montreal, renamed SIAL Canada in 2009). Since 2007, the Canada International Food Exhibition has changed from being held in odd-numbered years to being held annually, in Montreal in even-numbered years and in Toronto in odd-numbered years. SIAL Canada has become the only large-scale international food exhibition in Canada.

In order to better meet the needs of food producers to understand the latest production technologies, in addition to the Canada Food Exhibition, the Canada Food Technology and Equipment Exhibition is also held concurrently. The combination of the two exhibitions provides exhibitors and purchasers with more trade opportunities and partners, providing strong support for them to maintain a leading position in the food industry.

Market Prospects:

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was established in 1994 by the three North American countries of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Since its establishment, it has basically achieved the goals of a free trade area, generally eliminating tariff and non-tariff barriers, and achieving the free flow of goods and investment.
