The 2023 China Brand Products (Nigeria) Exhibition and China Shandong Export Commodities (Nigeria) Exhibition grandly opened on November 7.


On November 7, 2023, the China Brand Goods (Nigeria) Exhibition and the China Shandong Export Goods (Nigeria) Exhibition were held at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, Nigeria. On November 7, Yan Yuqing, Consul-General of the Chinese Consulate General in Lagos, attended the 2023 China Brand Goods (Nigeria) Exhibition and delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. Deputy Director-General Deng Bo of the Department of Foreign Trade Development of the Ministry of Commerce, representative of Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu, President of Ogun State Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of Ikorodu Chamber of Commerce attended the event and delivered speeches. Before the opening ceremony, Yan Yuqing, Consul-General of the Chinese Consulate General in Lagos, Deputy Director-General Deng Bo of the Department of Foreign Trade Development of the Ministry of Commerce, Han Bei, General Manager of Shandong Zhenghe International Exhibition, and other leaders from the Consulate General visited the booths of Chinese exhibitors, understanding their concerns regarding exhibition, trade, and investment in Nigeria. They also provided advice on how to adapt to the Nigerian market and seize business opportunities. At the opening ceremony, Consul-General Yan Yuqing delivered the first speech. He affirmed the achievements of bilateral trade between China and Nigeria, emphasized the important relationship between the two sides in trade cooperation, and stated that "distance cannot diminish friendship; even thousands of miles apart, we are still neighbors." He also encouraged Chinese enterprises to strengthen communication and cooperation with Nigerians, promoting Chinese goods to enter Nigeria more deeply and contributing to Nigeria's development. Deputy Director-General Deng Bo of the Department of Foreign Trade Development of the Ministry of Commerce attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, hoping that the exhibition would become a trade platform for Nigerian entrepreneurs and consumers to understand Chinese enterprises and brand products, and create more business opportunities for both sides. He believes that with the joint efforts of the governments and business communities of both China and Nigeria, the brand exhibition will further promote exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Nigerian enterprises. Han Bei, General Manager of Shandong Zhenghe Exhibition, said in an interview with the media that Zhenghe Exhibition has been committed to developing the African market for nearly 20 years, bringing a profound and positive impact to Chinese enterprises in developing the Nigerian and surrounding markets. She expressed that the African market has shown new vitality in 2023 and expects the exhibition to create more business opportunities for Chinese and African enterprises. The theme of the exhibition is "MADE IN CHINA, MADE FOR AFRICA." Nearly 200 enterprises from more than ten provinces and cities in China, including Shandong, Zhejiang, Chongqing, and Guangdong, as well as well-known Chinese enterprises in various states of Nigeria, participated in the exhibition. Exhibits covered various household and industrial fields, including machinery, building materials, hardware, new energy, home furnishings, and food. For most Chinese exhibitors, this was their first time participating in a physical offline exhibition in Nigeria since the pandemic. The exhibited products were diverse, covering multiple fields. Representatives from Chinese enterprises actively communicated with purchasers, introduced their products and technologies, exchanged business cards, and sought cooperation opportunities. The exhibition will run from November 7th to 10th. Participating Chinese enterprises will continue to showcase their products and technologies to make greater contributions to promoting international trade cooperation between China and Nigeria.

The highly anticipated "Oscars of the industry" – the 2023 Hannover Messe officially commenced on April 17 in Hannover, Germany. German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, along with Zoko Widodo, President of Indonesia, the guest country of honor at this year's industrial fair, jointly inaugurated the Hannover Messe. According to statistics, the number of Chinese enterprises participating in this exhibition is 730+, and the net display area reaches 12,000 square meters. TBEA, China Mobile, Haier COSMOPlat, Han's Laser, Donghua Chain, Baoguang Electric, and other well-known domestic exhibitors have made their appearance. Visitors will see a large number of high-quality domestic enterprises in sections such as "Automation, Power, and Transmission," "Digital Ecosystems," "Energy Solutions," "Innovative Technologies and Future Production," "Industrial Parts," "Compressed Air & Vacuum Technology," and "Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Zone" at the exhibition site. Relying on the world's largest international industrial exhibition, Hannover Messe in Germany, and held in a show-within-a-show format, Shandong Province has actively organized enterprises to participate for 14 consecutive years. During the 2022 pandemic, the exhibition played an active role in helping Shandong's electromechanical enterprises secure orders and expand markets through a "offline display + online negotiation" remote participation model. In 2023, the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce hosted, and Shandong Zhenghe International Exhibition Co., Ltd. undertook the Hannover Messe in Germany and the China Shandong Electromechanical Products (Germany) Exhibition. Zhenghe Hosted | Deepening Cooperation, Mutual Development, Shandong Province-Russia Enterprise Cooperation Exchange Conference Successfully Held


On the afternoon of April 6, the Shandong-Russia Enterprise Cooperation and Exchange Conference, hosted by the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, was held in Jinan, Shandong.At the conference, Alexander Kalinin, President of the Russian Union of Small and Medium Enterprises, introduced the development of the Russian Union of Small and Medium Enterprises.
